Your generosity truly made a difference in my classroom, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring these new books to my students.\r\nOne of the best parts of this experience has been watching my students discover books they normally would not have picked up on their own. A lot of my students recognized some of the stories from movies or TV shows, but they had never thought about actually reading the books behind them. Once they started reading, many of them were surprised by how much more the books included. They noticed details, characters, and storylines that were left out of the movies, and it led to so many genuine conversations in class.\r\nThese books helped introduce and strengthen important reading skills like making predictions, understanding character development, comparing texts, identifying themes, and building vocabulary. One thing my students especially enjoyed was comparing the books to the movie versions they already knew. They loved pointing out differences, talking about which version they liked better, and explaining why. It made reading feel exciting and personal for them instead of just another assignment.\r\nReading in my classroom has become much more interactive because of these new texts. Students spend time reading independently, discussing books with partners, and sharing their thoughts during class discussions. I have seen students become more willing to participate because they are actually interested in what they are reading. Some students even started recommending books to their classmates, which has been amazing to watch.\r\nA few students in particular really stood out to me during this project. Some of my more reluctant readers, who would normally avoid reading whenever possible, became engaged once they found books connected to stories they already enjoyed through movies. I had students asking if they could keep reading after class or borrow books to take home. Seeing that kind of excitement around reading has honestly been one of the most rewarding parts of this experience.\r\nAnother thing I appreciated about this project was how it exposed students to different forms of literature and genres they may never have explored otherwise. Some students discovered they enjoy graphic novels, fantasy, or realistic fiction, while others simply gained more confidence in their ability to read and understand longer texts. For many of them, these books helped change the way they view reading.\r\nYour support gave my students more than just books. You gave them opportunities to connect with stories, build confidence, and enjoy reading in a way they had not before. Thank you again for investing in my classroom and helping create meaningful learning experiences for my students. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1770999671159,"projectUrl":"project/building-engagement/10028830/","projectTitle":"Building Engagement","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9449589_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720277758220","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9449589"},{"teacherId":8142862,"projectId":10054410,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for you generous donations!
