The girls loved the bracelets, and it has been wonderful seeing their smiles as they received their rewards. Now, our students' folders are beginning to fill up with stickers they have earned for their hard work, positive choices, and accomplishments!\r\n\r\nThese prizes and incentives have given my students something exciting to work toward while helping me recognize their efforts, improvements, and achievements. Whether they are making better behavior choices, showing kindness to classmates, putting extra effort into an assignment, or making academic progress, they are learning that hard work pays off and that every step forward deserves to be celebrated.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite things has been seeing students become excited about earning their rewards and taking pride in what they accomplish. One of the most meaningful parts of having this resource is being able to respond immediately when a student shares that they are hungry. Instead of simply acknowledging the need, we can open the cabinet and help.\r\nOur students have quickly learned that this cabinet represents something much bigger than storage—it means there is food available when they need it and adults at school who care about their basic needs. Moving forward, we will continue keeping the cabinet organized and stocked so that no student has to sit in class trying to learn while worrying about hunger.
