Here is the impact your support has made:\r\n\r\n\r\nCollaborative Thinking: The individual whiteboards have become a favorite tool for my students. They provide a \"low-stakes\" space where students feel comfortable sharing temporary ideas with one another. This has led to a noticeable increase in peer-to-peer collaboration, as they can easily draft, edit, and celebrate their collective thinking before finalizing their work.\r\n\r\nVisible Learning: Our new anchor charts now serve as a permanent home for our unit vocabulary and key scientific concepts. Having these ideas displayed on the walls provides a constant reference point for my students, especially my multi-lingual learners. I am also excited to begin using these charts as a collaborative space for students to map out their complex \"big picture\" ideas together.\r\n\r\nPreparedness for the Future: While we are utilizing our current supplies, the additional notebooks have been secured to ensure that my incoming students next year start their first day with the high-quality organizational tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students now have the markers and materials necessary to make their thinking visible and their voices heard. I think, however, the item that had the most immediate impact were the tabletop adapted scissors. We used those the day after they arrived, making snowflakes in a preschool classroom for students with physical and cognitive disabilities. What a joy it was to allow my students to use scissors safely and independently. They were so proud of their work, and I, of course, was bursting with pride for them as well!\r\n\r\nSince the arrival of the items, everything has been used, and it's already so difficult to imagine the time when we didn't have our seat cushions, our wobble stools, and our weighted snake!
