The Chromebooks will allow my students to have access to educational websites such as Lexia to strengthen their reading skills. This will help to improve their overall reading levels as well as in specific areas of reading such as decoding, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. Also, the ELs will have access to educational apps using the Chromebooks. For example, Google Read and Write will help students self correct their own written work. Google Translate will help students translate from their native language into English certain key vocabulary. This will help students make a positive transfer from their native language to learning academic English. This project will also allow my students to have access to colored pencils. This will help students access the visual literacy domain which will positively impact their English learning.
