The Apple Pen has transformed how they interact with lessons, allowing them to show their work on an iPad mirrored to a TV for the whole class to see. This has made math and science more visual and interactive, helping students explain their thinking more clearly.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for my students is the ability to write and draw digitally, making problem-solving more dynamic and collaborative. Students who were hesitant to share on paper now confidently display their work on the screen, knowing they can easily adjust and refine their ideas.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who usually struggles with showing their thought process, has become more engaged because they enjoy using the technology. They've started participating more actively, excited to contribute in a way that feels natural to them.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly made a difference, giving all my students a tool that enhances their learning, boosts their confidence, and encourages collaboration. This trip allowed them to experience powerful stories of resilience and understand the dangers of intolerance firsthand.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was the Holocaust exhibit, where students followed the journey of a child affected by World War II. Seeing history through a personal lens helped them grasp the real consequences of discrimination and hate. Many students expressed how eye-opening it was to witness the conditions people endured and left with a deeper appreciation for the freedoms they have today.\r\n\r\nAnother highlight of the visit was the interactive discussions led by museum educators. Students explored historical and modern examples of prejudice, drawing connections between past injustices and current social issues. These conversations inspired them to think about their own role in promoting kindness and inclusion.\r\n\r\nBack in the classroom, the learning continued. Students reflected on their experience, engaging in meaningful discussions about responsibility, empathy, and standing up against injustice. Some took the initiative to research more about the Holocaust, civil rights, and other movements, eager to understand the lasting impact of intolerance. Others shared personal experiences and brainstormed ways to create positive change in their own communities.\r\n\r\nThis trip was more than just a field trip—it was a transformative experience that helped our students see the importance of standing up for what is right. They left the museum with not only historical knowledge but also a renewed sense of responsibility to build a more just and compassionate world.","fullyFundedDate":1575348675934,"projectUrl":"project/museum-of-tolerance-tour/4585828/","projectTitle":"Museum of Tolerance Tour","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Rico","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5231712_orig.jpg?crop=1280,1280,x0,y174&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740003137139","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5231712"},{"teacherId":5231712,"projectId":9104774,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has been transformed!
