Teaching is not just a job or a career. It is a calling to make a difference in the life of a child, and if you're very blessed, the life of many children! I believe that God has called me to teach, and when you love what you do every day, life is good! My students are third graders. Most of them live in poverty. About a third of them have parents who do not speak English. More than half do not have any access to a computer outside of school. But they really love to learn. They're bright and cheerful and loving. They're also incredibly needy. They need breakfast and lunch at school. They need love and support. They need character education. They need someone who cares about them as a person. And they need access to technology, so that they can be successful in this 21st century that we live in.
