I will begin my third year of teaching in a 1st Grade classroom in August and I am very excited to start building a diverse and inviting classroom library and classroom community! My goal is to create a classroom environment where my students can be immersed in many learning experiences. When students walk through the classroom door I want the atmosphere to entice them to explore the elements of reading. I want their eyes to go straight to our classroom library. I want to offer my students a variety of books. I want my students to be interested in the books they read. I want to keep my students engaged in reading and want to keep them excited when it is time to read! This project will help fund for many of the books that will help me start to build up my classroom library, which will only keep growing throughout the years.
