Sometimes the best way to get children read is not by implementing a plan and trying to make it work within certain time frames.\r\n\r\nWhat we did instead was to display the resources you helped us get. Children took their time (different timings) to get to explore. Some did it right away. Some took longer. However, we did not force anyone to read. Eventually most of them grabbed a book. What I had already handy was my plan for them to read.Based on a simple model and on their interests, I was ready to wok with them once they chose a book of their preference. From there on, it was all easier.\r\n\r\nThe results were great. They all read more. We had literary circles where they talked about what they read, and they gradually moved from easy books to hard ones, fome one language to the next.
