Because of you, the students at LGE now have access to Spot of Emotion and conversation tools that are already making a meaningful difference in their daily school experience. These resources have given students a shared language for their feelings and a safe space to talk openly about emotions, helping them feel seen, heard, and valued in our classrooms.\r\n\r\nAs students learn to recognize, name, and manage their emotions, we are seeing growth in essential social-emotional skills such as communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Our nonverbal students are benefitting from the spot plushies as a concrete example of feelings as one student who was dysregulated grabbed the blue plush when asked how he was feeling. With improved emotional literacy, students are better equipped to navigate challenges, regulate their reactions, and show empathy toward others. This has led to more positive peer interactions, allowing students to stay engaged and motivated in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1760899333915,"projectUrl":"project/emotional-literacy-through-sel/9832662/","projectTitle":"Emotional Literacy Through SEL","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McMillian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10313653"},{"teacherId":5051519,"projectId":9823848,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom. Because of your generosity, my students now have access to engaging literacy and comprehension materials that are making a real difference in their learning every day.\r\n\r\nThese resources are being used during MTSS small-group instruction to support students at a variety of reading levels. The materials allow students to practice comprehension strategies in a focused, supportive setting, helping them build confidence and strengthen essential reading skills.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic posters have become a powerful tool for teaching paragraph writing. Students are able to physically move and organize ideas, which helps them clearly see how sentences work together to form a strong paragraph. This hands-on approach has been especially helpful for students who need extra support with organization and written expression.\r\n\r\nWe are especially grateful for the support from Governor Meyer, the Delaware General Assembly, and the Delaware Department of Education. These materials have strengthened daily instruction and helped create equitable learning opportunities for all students in my classroom.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create meaningful learning experiences for my students and has given them tools they will continue to use as they grow as readers and writers.
