This fourth-grade classroom is run and mastered by the students. Math and ELA are fully differentiated, meaning the students can work through and master standards at their own pace. This allows the student to own their learning and grow a relationship with what they are learning. The learning process is not happening to students; the students are controlling and mastering the learning process. The community feel to the classroom and the students having the ability to master their own education requires a lot of organization. The items on the list allow the students to collect material, run routines and procedures all on their own.
