Thank you so much for supporting this project! Magnatiles have always been one of my favorite things! They come in so many colors and shapes and it's so excited building something that just sticks together through magnets! \r\n\r\nThis class has already build some amazing things with them. I had two kiddos work together to build a trailer for their animals which was amazing to see them coming up with a plan to make that happen. I've had kiddos build houses, but no attempts at the Mackinaw bridge yet! However, I have had kiddos make animal cages which will forever make me think of a special little girl last year who loved making animal cages together. \r\n\r\nThese have also come in handy because we've been learning about shapes and my kiddos realized they could make a diamond out of two triangles! They also made a rectangle out of two squares. There has many so much learning going on with these as well as imagination play. This project is one I absolutely loved because I truly have a love for books! They are a gift you can open again and again! My kiddos this year have opened so many of these books again and again. \r\n\r\nA lot of times, I read a story to them and then later in the day, I'll find them opening it by themselves and reading it from memory. Other times they ask me to read it again, which I absolutely love to! I had one little girl during play time, grab two baby dolls and put them on the carpet and she read to them as a teacher. It was truly magical to see the impact that she had from listening to a story as a kiddo. \r\n\r\nI like to rotate the books every couple of weeks, but there are certain books kiddos will ask for again if I put them away because they want to open that gift again and again. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for gifting my classroom DAILY with these books. The one little girl used the doctor outfit and had me bring my sick baby doll to her. She checked her over and even gave her a shot! They often play together in those roles and work together to put out fires in the classroom! This week coming up is Fire Prevention week and I'm so excited for the Midland Fire Department come to our school and put on their gear and show my kiddos an actual fire truck! I have a feeling my kiddos are going to want to play with the fire fighter outfits all week! \r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students a way to build their imaginations with all these dress up clothes! I even had a parent tell me that their kiddo came home the day that we opened the box and asked for colorful animals so he can show her how to make a pattern.
