In order to keep my little learners as safe as possible, we have moved much of our learning outdoors. We have group gatherings where we read stories and sing songs together outside under the shade trees. There is a great deal of research highlighting the benefits of children learning outdoors and in nature. During Covid times, outdoor learning is even more beneficial. Having children-sized benches outdoors will help provide the children an appropriate place to sit during group time where they can focus on learning. I love nature myself and feel privileged to have the opportunity to extend that love to my students.
