Instead of students directly competing with one another (which often results in the same students winning and the same students struggling), the collaborative gaming modes allow the whole class to work together on the same goal. EVERYONE gets to contribute and it becomes a positive experience for everyone. The microwave used a lot of Watts but we use it for minutes at a time and not 24 hrs in a day. \r\n\r\nMy students are also growing their plants so that we can test the effect of road salt on them.
