I use rhythm sticks in my class across all grade levels. We use them for reading and writing rhythms and composing our own music. One lesson I did with rhythm sticks was I had students get into groups and they had to compose a rhythm that had an ABA pattern. The students did great especially using the new rhythm sticks. Everyone wanted to use one of the new ones.
