Brilliant scholars that would benefit from basic classroom tools. We are a Title 1 school that is also one of DC's 40/40 targeted schools. Our population is struggling to provide the basic classroom supplies for mathematics. We are a blended learning campus that infuses technology and small group learning in everything that we do. My students often come to school without pencils, dry erase markers, paper, composition books, tablets or a computer access at home. They are generally performing below grade level and have a lack of the fundamental skills necessary to be successful in fourth grade and beyond. They are caring, adventurous, inquisitive and dedicated to becoming better students.
