When the media clerk delivered the items to my door, and I explained to them where the items came from, they were ecstatic. They couldn't actually believe that someone who knows nothing about them, and has never met them was really willing to donate and fund items for them. They were truly shocked. \r\n\r\nWe immediately used the copy paper to make copies of the current material we were working on. They were so excited to be able to have their own copies and not have to share with a partner. My students love to clean after a long day of working hard. They believe in trying to keep themselves safe from Covid and other viruses that were going around. My students and I felt safe and secure. They actually love coming to school and they realize that if they are not well, they will have to miss. So, we definitely appreciated the cleaning supplies and the disinfectant sprays. \r\n\r\nThe pencils are ALWAYS a big hit. I love to be able to provide my students with the essentials they need to be successful everyday. I can't say what anybody else has or doesn't have. Therefore, I just try to make sure that I have what they need, especially something as simple as a pencil. For many students, this individualized access to learning makes a significant difference in their confidence and academic growth.\r\n\r\nOne of the challenges we face in classrooms is that headphones are often not cared for properly by students, which causes them to break or go missing and requires frequent replacement. This project helped relieve that burden by ensuring students had access to functional headphones when they needed them most. Having reliable headphones allowed instruction to continue smoothly and ensured that learning time was not lost due to a lack of resources.\r\n\r\nStudents were most excited about being able to fully engage with their lessons without interruptions. Several students who struggle with focus or reading comprehension especially benefited from the headphones. Being able to listen closely to instructions and audio support helped them feel more successful and independent.
