Having individual practice uniforms allows each player to have clean gear for every practice, which promotes personal hygiene and helps create a more positive and professional team environment. A memorable moment was seeing the players receive their uniforms and immediately recognize that they each had a place and identity within the team. The uniforms have helped build a stronger sense of pride, unity, and belonging among our players.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were extremely excited and appreciative. For many of our players, having their own practice uniform made them feel valued and like an important part of the team. They were eager to put on their new gear and practice together as a unified group. It was rewarding to see their excitement and the way the uniforms brought the team together while reinforcing the importance of taking pride in themselves, their teammates, and their program.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our students will continue using the uniforms throughout the football season while focusing on teamwork, discipline, accountability, and personal growth. We want our players to understand that being part of a team is about more than what happens on the field—it is also about supporting one another, taking care of their equipment, maintaining good hygiene, and representing their school with pride. For many of my students, theatre is one of the few places where they feel comfortable taking risks, being creative, and discovering what they are capable of. Having access to new technology has helped make those experiences feel more real and meaningful.\r\n\r\nMy students love being able to hear themselves through the equipment and see how much stronger a performance becomes when sound and technology are used correctly. Even some of my quieter or more hesitant students have begun stepping forward, volunteering to perform, or showing interest in helping behind the scenes.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding parts has been watching students realize that theatre has a place for everyone. Some are finding confidence onstage, while others are discovering talents in sound, production, and backstage work. These resources are not simply pieces of equipment—they are giving my students opportunities to feel successful, included, and proud of what they can create together. When the students were able to hold the physical copies of their reading it created a sense of ownership that many had never truly had the opportunity to experience. In having been able to read the assigned chapters and learning more about Collin's world-building, the students were challenged to create characters from that world.\r\n This book is a call to be brave, to endure even when the odds aren't in your favor, and that message resonates with a population that has to fight for a voice. In the Hunger Games, many of the characters are from a different district that has its own unique characteristics, similar to each individual student. In doing their second-close read, students chose a district that their character would represent and gave them a background of their own! It was amazing to see how many students incorporated their own stories into their characters. While unknowingly analyzing literary elements such as setting, character, conflict, and tone my students were not only able to recognize but apply such devices using their imagination and knowledge!
