After practicing the different types of stitches and learning what they were used for, students put their new skills to work by designing and creating their own felt monsters. Each piece reflected their unique imagination—some were adorable, some were spooky, and all were full of personality!\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the colorful felt, thread, and sewing tools, the room filled with excitement. Many had never sewn before, and there was a wonderful mix of curiosity and determination as they threaded their first needles. It was incredible to watch them gain confidence with each stitch and beam with pride as their monsters began to take shape.\r\n\r\nMy students were too excited to take their creations home to let me create a display here at school, but we've created and digital gallery and I will share some photos here.
