I work in the special education department in a township right out side downtown Indianapolis. I run the Resource room within the building assisting students with coping skills. I also co-teach algebra classes to students who have learning, social, and emotional challenges. Many of them struggle with attention, reading comprehension, math computations, organization, etc. These students need supplemental materials to support their need for functional academic curriculum. They need to be equipped with the skills, knowledge, and supports they will need to become an independent successful adult. Any contributions made to our project will benefit them throughout high school and well into adulthood.

About my class
