Everyone needs grit! (LOL) Seriously though, I got a rock tumbler for our unit of study on erosion. It was so awesome, but we didn't have enough grit. \r\n \r\n The grit has four phases and different properties to grind the rocks and polish them. Now, we have enough grit and will be polishing some real gemstones thanks to you and your generosity!\r\n \r\n The children have chosen a rock that has very sharp edges right now. The grit will smooth down the edges, speeding uop the process of erosion by 10,000 plus times. The final packet of grit will polish the stones. The kids are so excited to get their rocks out of the tumbler.
