These books expose children to a variety of novels and texts which ultimately shape the way they see the world. \r\n\r\nThe new books have especially moved a few students in particular. One student is deeply inspired by the code talkers book, because they have never heard of the code talkers. ( we have been using the same beat of headphones and some of them didnt work so we were long overdo for some new ones) They immediately started brainstorming ideas for their science fair projects and couldn't wait to get started. \r\n\r\nThe headphones have been such a big help during our research time & testing. Students are able to focus, listen to science videos, and gather information without distractions. The tri-fold boards have given them a real sense of ownership and pride in their work. Our next step is to complete our projects and practice presenting our findings to classmates, teachers, and family members. These materials have helped my students think and work like true scientists, asking questions, collecting data, and explaining what they discovered.
