With the items you funded, I have held small group and individual lessons. The children love playing with all the toys!\r\n\r\nJust the other day, in a classroom in an autism program, the students got to communicate if they wanted to hug or feed the baby doll you funded! They made animal sounds, learned and used animal vocabulary and named spatial concepts with the farm animals. With the Critter Clinic, they played a veterinarian who helped sick animals- each student used a key to get the animals out of their cage in the morning to feed them and listen to their heart! The counting bears helps student learn colors, spatial concepts, and quantities. \r\n\r\nThe kitchen set is a huge hit! They love cooking, cutting, stirring, and \"eating\" the food. They've all become great chefs. The train set is also a great toy that is used to build language, like: behind, first, last, in front, turn, stop, go. It also helps with students who are learning to imitate actions and sounds. \r\n\r\nThe Brain Flakes is by far the best item, though. It keeps my students engaged during speech and language sessions while actively still learning and using problem-solving skills. I also want to apologize for the delay in sharing this note with you, it has been a busy time, but my gratitude has been with you since the day our project was funded.\r\n\r\nThe items you helped fund have already made a big difference. The wireless vacuum has been a lifesaver in our portable classroom, where space is tight and keeping a clean, organized environment can be challenging. It allows me to quickly tidy up, creating a healthier and more welcoming learning space for my students. The CVC spelling games brought so much excitement to literacy lessons. The $200 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card has given me the chance to provide customized materials tailored to each student's needs, which has been especially valuable in meeting the diverse learning goals in my special education classroom. The emotions pocket chart has been a powerful tool for helping students recognize and express their feelings, building both social and emotional skills. And, of course, the fidget toys, squishies, slime, and building blocks have been a huge hit. They not only keep students engaged but also provide sensory support that helps them stay focused.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using these resources to strengthen literacy skills, build emotional awareness, and support independent learning.
