I am a general education teacher with 3 SPED inclusion students and ELL students. The students are from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. While some are from military or middle income families, I also have those who live in nearby temporary homeless shelters or are homeless. My students are amazing this year. They have great enthusiasm to learn and are willing to work hard. They are independent, self-directed learners who are responsible, respectful and caring. The students at my school are very diverse in their cultures as well as their learning styles. They are eager to absorb information in new and innovative ways. My school is a PreK-5th grade elementary school. It consists of faculty and staff who are very supportive and truly care about the students. The atmosphere at my school is a very positive one despite some of the financial burdens that we are currently facing. There is definitely love coming from the administrator down to the custodial staff.
