A lot of the activities we do in this classroom are lab based and come from the Math Medic curriculum. These activities allow students to explore first and formalize later which helps the students retain the information for longer as they develop the concepts themselves as we go through the activities. We used the cars to explore scatter plots and linear regression. With the candies, we investigated difference in proportions and hypothesis tests. \r\n\r\nThe colored pencils were mainly for my Geometry students as they used the pencils to keep track of what angles, arcs or segments they were trying to find the measures of. Color coding in Geometry helps the students organize their work so that they do not lose themselves in a problem.\r\n\r\nWithout the label maker I could not properly organize and categorize the materials I was able to get with your donations. I cannot thank you enough for supporting me this year. This means a lot especially as our school and every other school in the district is losing funding.","fullyFundedDate":1735045264333,"projectUrl":"project/refresh-for-my-ap-statistics-and-geometr/8921918/","projectTitle":"Refresh for My AP Statistics and Geometry Classes","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mathew","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3861724_orig.png?crop=126,126,x0,y29&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732636546912","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3861724"},{"teacherId":8139827,"projectId":9100307,"letterContent":"Since COVID, my students are completely on computers on use technology every day. Your contributions, including pens, markers, a printer, and other essential classroom materials, have made such a positive impact on both myself and my students.\r\n\r\nThe students have been thrilled to have access to these new supplies. The vibrant colors of the markers and pens have brought a new energy to their work, whether it's illustrating ideas in their notebooks or creating beautiful projects. The printer, in particular, has been a game-changer, allowing us to print assignments, artwork, and educational materials that we previously couldn't access so easily. It has opened up so many possibilities for us, enabling students to showcase their work in a more professional way.\r\n\r\nYour thoughtful donation has not only equipped us with tools for learning, but it has also shown my students the power of generosity and the importance of community. Every day, they are reminded that there are people who care about their education and their future. It has inspired them to put forth their best effort, knowing that their learning environment is one that values and supports their growth.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and support.
