The whiteboards you helped provide have already made a meaningful difference for my English learners. From the moment my students saw the stack of brand-new whiteboards, their faces lit up—they were excited, eager, and immediately began asking when they could use them.\r\n\r\nWe now use the whiteboards every day for brainstorming, quick writes, vocabulary and grammar practice, and warm-up activities. One of my favorite moments happened during a speaking activity: a student who is usually very hesitant to participate quietly wrote out her ideas on her whiteboard, rehearsed them with a partner, and then volunteered to share with the whole class for the first time this year. That confidence boost wouldn't have happened without this resource.\r\n\r\nThese whiteboards have lowered my students' anxiety around speaking English and have created a safe space for them to take risks, make mistakes, and express their ideas more freely. They allow students to plan their thinking before sharing out loud, which has already led to stronger participation and more peer-to-peer interactions.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to practice academic vocabulary and collaborative discussions, these whiteboards will continue to support students in building their language skills and preparing for more advanced speaking and writing tasks. Your generosity has given them a tool that will be used daily and will truly impact their growth throughout the year.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and helping make our classroom a more supportive, engaging place for English learners.","fullyFundedDate":1758821397006,"projectUrl":"project/white-boards-for-english-learners/9663537/","projectTitle":"White Boards for English Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gallo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9538475_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715187855501","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9538475"},{"teacherId":8938112,"projectId":9801112,"letterContent":"Dear Donors,\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous contribution of the Toniebox system and Creative Tonies. Your donation has already made a meaningful impact in our classroom. Since its arrival, we have used the listening device across two lessons and eight class periods, and it has quickly become an engaging and effective tool for strengthening students' literacy skills.\r\n\r\nStudents recently listened to Tonie Spooky Tales to practice attentive listening and identifying big ideas. Using a Graffiti Wall, students visually represented what they learned—recording themes, major topics, plot elements, and significant ideas from the stories. This strategy helped students make their thinking visible while deepening their comprehension.\r\n\r\nWith the Creative Tonie, I was able to upload a coming-of-age short story by Matt de la Peña, \"How to Transform an Everyday, Ordinary Hoop Court into a Place of Higher Learning and You at the Podium.\" Students explored the journey of a young basketball player striving to prove himself on the court. They added key vocabulary from our Unit 1: Coming of Age collection, meaningful quotes, and quick visual representations to their Graffiti Walls to connect new learning to prior knowledge.\r\n\r\nFor both lessons, students participated in a gallery walk and debriefed their findings, allowing them to discuss insights, compare interpretations, and engage in higher-order thinking.\r\n\r\nYour support made all of this possible. The Toniebox system has brought a new level of excitement and creativity to our reading lessons, and we are truly grateful for your generosity and belief in our students.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping our classroom grow.\r\n\r\nWarm regards,\r\nMs. Aldana","fullyFundedDate":1761086074213,"projectUrl":"project/voices-of-understanding-building-litera/9801112/","projectTitle":"Voices of Understanding: Building Literacy and Confidence with a Toniebox","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Aldana","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8938112_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674518454629","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-aldana"},{"teacherId":9811506,"projectId":9419021,"letterContent":"Our new feminine hygiene products have already made a meaningful difference for our students. Your contribution did far more than fund supplies—it created a moment of joy, connection, and appreciation during one of the most hectic and overwhelming times our school has experienced in years.\r\n\r\nOver the past month, and especially in the final week, our campus has been in full-scale transition. More than fifty classrooms, trades/shops, and hundreds of students and staff members have been preparing to move into our brand-new building. What should be an exciting milestone has also come with its share of chaos, exhaustion, and frayed nerves. In the middle of packing, labeling, relocating, and managing constant interruptions, it's easy for energy and morale to sink. This project arrived at exactly the right time—just when our students and teachers needed a reminder of community, purpose, and positivity.\r\n\r\nWhen your packages began arriving, the mood shifted instantly. Students lit up with curiosity and excitement as they opened each box, eagerly inspecting items and envisioning how they might fit into the gratitude grams. There was a genuine sense of wonder as they unpacked pens, notebooks, candy, tumblers, and all the pieces that would become heartfelt tokens of appreciation for their teachers. What could have been a simple classroom task quickly transformed into a collaborative, laughter-filled experience.\r\n\r\nSorting the items became its own adventure. Students worked together in groups, stacking bright notebooks, lining up pens, and arranging the candy \"just right.\" They discussed which items paired best, which colors teachers might like, and how to make each tumbler feel personal. There was joy in the decision-making, pride in the attention to detail, and so much giggling as students compared designs or traded items to perfect their creations. For a little while, the stress of the move disappeared, replaced by teamwork, purpose, and a genuine desire to give back to the adults who support them every day.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe recipients of these gratitude grams were deeply touched. Many were moved by the sincerity and effort our freshmen poured into every tumbler. Teachers commented on how thoughtful, sweet, and uplifting the gesture was—and how much it meant to be recognized by the students they work so hard to guide.","fullyFundedDate":1761075719441,"projectUrl":"project/gobble-up-the-gratitude/9779521/","projectTitle":"Gobble Up the Gratitude","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Aldana","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8938112_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674518454629","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-aldana"},{"teacherId":1726659,"projectId":9587449,"letterContent":"Now more students can now perform jobs sheets safely with the auto shop PPE-personal protective equipment you helped provide!!\r\nA lot of our supplies get used up or there are not enough for multiple students to work.\r\nThe welding gloves, parts washer gloves, glasses, etc. have students ready to safely work with our waiting for supplies or funds to work in shop.\r\nThis donation shows that you care, and the students see that, and it has a big impact on how they feel about themselves and the importance of the work and learning they are doing and that they must consider always -safety first.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity especially for keeping them safe and learning!","fullyFundedDate":1757548909141,"projectUrl":"project/provide-ppe-for-automotive-tech-stem-stu/9587449/","projectTitle":"Provide PPE for Automotive Tech STEM students to Perform Labs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Amiot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1726659_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755115803956","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1726659"},{"teacherId":8938112,"projectId":8283249,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our \"In Resin Art, Each Pour Is a Story\" project!
