Since the project was funded, my position changed and instead of using the materials solely for my 11th and 12th grade writing class, I have had the opportunity to share the materials with three other English classes that I have had the privilege of working with and co-teaching in. \r\n\r\nTo start, the binders and tabs have kept my 8th graders organized. They materials are easily accessible and students are able to find what they need quickly!! The notebooks have been used within my 7th grade class as an interactive notebook filled with thoughts and ideas about the texts that we are reading! Finally, the paper organizer has kept my 10th grade students organized with daily papers they need if they are absent or not in class during the week! \r\n\r\nThere are still many materials that we have not yet had a chance to use, colored paper and pens and incentive charts to name a few.... They come in handy when I am out sick and need to assign a digital assignment, as well as any time students need to watch a video to complete an assignment or project.\r\n\r\nWith the presentation remote, I can progress the slide in a presentation from anywhere in the room. It also has a laser pointer, which I use to point to words and images on the whiteboard from anywhere in the room. Pointing to words as I or students read them is especially helpful for my students learning English (which is 95% of my students.)\r\n\r\nThank you for the composition notebooks. My students use these notebooks every day, as daily resource that they create for themselves throughout the semester.\r\n\r\nFinally, the pencil cap erasers have come in so handy! As my students are learning English, they erase a LOT when they write. The worst is when the eraser runs out, as it slows their momentum. We can color code our anchor charts and word walls. We can choose one color for the Main Topic. Then we use other colors to represent topics under them. The different colors help cue the learners to associate the information and integrate it with the topic. \r\n\r\nThe dry erase strips are really helpful also. For examples, we might be doing a listening activity.
