And maybe most excitedly, my kinders and early childhood artists have been color scientists again, mixing those primary colors to invent new ones. My littlest artists have the opportunity to build their strength with squeezable scissors and then transition to the k, 1, 2, scissors that look like traditional scissors that you open your hand to use but have an adaptation to assist those still needing muscle building. My 3, 4, 5th grade artists have plenty of age appropriate scissors so ALL students can cut without running out of materials and have scissors that fit their growing kid hands. This has really opened up possibilities for my students. Old scissors were getting stuck together, breaking in their hands, or just not the right size.
