These books and materials will provide my students with opportunities to use and experience literacy. Many of my students do not have books or other education materials in their homes. These books will be used directly as a learning tool and as an incentive to use at home. Having access to books and literacy can close the learning gap. It is my hope that having more books and literacy in my classroom will allow students to feel comfortable and interact with language at a higher level. Students will be able to use social and academic language while learning new ideas and content.
