The students have already made a few art projects but their favorite so far has been our constellation artwork. After learning about the stars and constellations in science, students used watercolor and paint to recreate their favorite constellation. Using our new, sturdy watercolor paper made all the difference in their creations! \r\n\r\nWith the TPT gift card, I have already purchased engaging and scaffolded writing prompts that students have been enjoying. For their first narrative writing prompt, students used their imaginations to decide what would happen if a future version of themselves showed up at their doors. We are using our new resources for two goals. Weekly we have table points and the table that gets the most points, based on behavior, participation, homework completion and support towards each other, gets the most points. The stickers and fidgets are a big motivation for them to achieve more points through out the week. It encourages students to do their daily homework and the comrade at the tables is evident! \r\n \r\n The second goal was to have resources for students to use during our weekly Quiet Time. The items that were purchased through your funds such as magnet tiles, spinning fidgets, water fidgets keep students calm and quiet during this time period. Quiet Time is a time where students are by themselves and can create an art project or work on building with the magnet tiles or using the fidgets. This is a one time a week 20 minute reward that they greatly enjoy!
