In October, our building experienced a major flood caused by a broken pipe. As a result, we were forced to move to a temporary school building in a different area of the city. This upheaval has caused a great deal of stress and uncertainty for students and staff. \r\nThankfully, with your help, snacks and essential supplies have been one thing I didn't need to worry about during this stressful time! The new carpet and easel have made such a big difference in our classroom. It's now everyone's favorite spot to read, share, and learn together.\r\n\r\nWe've also been using the new easel every day during writing and read-alouds. It's been great for showing our thinking, drawing story maps, and modeling sentences. The kids love coming up to the easel to share their ideas with the class.\r\n\r\nThese new additions have really helped make our classroom feel like a warm and welcoming space for learning. My students often don't get the supplies they need through district and state funding alone, and you donations help to make up that difference. \r\n\r\nOne of the things I was able to purchase with these funds was new headphones for the class.
