Our classroom refresh project provided us with additional storage, and beautiful classroom decor. I chose an outer space theme thinking the colors would be calming while also appealing to girls and boys of all ages. \r\n\r\nOur classroom is now a warm and welcoming space that looks clean and fresh. Students have loved the stars, and the positive bulletin boards help students check in with themselves and provide a calm distraction when needed. We don't have to worry about running out of supplies and we use our items daily. Our classroom is neater, more organized, and we are able to transition quicker from class to class. Each student has been able to receive their own bin for their personal supplies. We were also able to change the bins in our classroom library so we can take better care of our books. \r\n\r\nStudent also love the materials given to create a calm down corner. We use this \"take a break\" space to give students a chance to regain composure and to destress.
