They immediately wanted to explore and use the items—especially the different textured sensory pads and the fidget toys. One of my students, when given the chance to be the first to use one of the new sensory tools, exclaimed how lucky and grateful they felt.\r\n\r\nIt was a heartwarming moment for me as a teacher to witness such genuine gratitude and excitement—especially from students who don't typically express those emotions so openly. These tools have been incredibly effective in helping students stay regulated and focused. For example, during a recent group reading activity, one student used a donated fidget ring. It helped them stay engaged and manage their energy, allowing them to participate more comfortably and effectively. This is just one of the many ways your donation has made a positive and meaningful impact in our classroom.\r\n\r\nSome of the next steps that have come from this generous donation include a self-regulation project we're working on in class. Students—especially those on the autism spectrum—are learning to recognize their own emotional needs and choose the right sensory tools to support themselves, whether they're feeling frustrated, angry, sad, or overwhelmed. I was thrilled when I received the large box at school and the students were also excited to find out what was in the box. I was intentional in making sure they knew how well I expected them to take care of the new Seat Sacks. They were grateful for the new addition to our classroom and they really have taken great care of them. I know that they will be used for many, many years in our 4th grade classroom.\r\nThese Seat Sacks have saved us so much transition time! We use them primary for storage of our Chromebooks and other important materials throughout the school day. Instead of putting the Chromebooks back in the cart after each time we use them, we only have to put them away once, at the end of the day!\r\nAgain, thank-you so much for your generous donations.
