Keeping a student engaged in therapy and generalization of skills can be the most difficult pieces of therapy. These resources will help students engage in therapy and can be carried over to home practice with same or similar materials. I want parents to know that using literacy and play based materials can help a student achieve their goals with evidenced based techniques. I can use these materials to make the initial gains in the structured therapy session and then model how the parents can do the same at home with books, toys, games, and play thereby helping the student generalize the skills we work so hard on in the speech therapy session into daily life situations.
