The foundational supplies that I received for my 1st year classroom made the transition to an empty classroom with no supplies or bones, to a thriving effective classroom and that all my students were prepared to learn every day. \r\n The whiteboard and whiteboard markers help my students tremendously in keeping engaged during math time. Having them allows them to work out the problem with me on their whiteboards individually, and move quickly by erasing the boards to move onto the next problem, keeping my lessons fast and efficient.\r\n The pencils and highlighters provided also keep my students engaged during ELA time because they are highlighting and analyzing the texts we are reading in class to stay engaged and really understand what the author is trying to portray to the students in their writing.
