Our students are eager to learn to read, write, and count, but they need those extra supports. Parents are working two jobs or shifts that make it hard for them to give their children the support they need at home. Although the majority of our students come from trauma-filled homes they have a love for learning and the willingness to do anything and everything I throw at them.
These materials will help me provide one-on-one and/or small group interventions with my struggling students. Our students enter Kindergarten at various levels as well as having different levels of English proficiency. These materials will allow me to incorporate more differentiation in my classroom and be able to provide those small groups supports, so all students continue to make progress no matter what level they started on. With these materials students will also be able to help and teach each other if I am busy with other students because they are that easy. I am excited to use these materials and help our struggling students get moving in the right direction. These materials will help students build on counting, adding, subtracting, pattern making, and recognizing numbers.
