Our students and classroom have benefited greatly because of you. Currently, our class has 11 girls and 18 boys. It was like Christmas morning when packages started arriving. Students were thrilled to see what our classroom had received, and they were more than eager to start using our new seating options.\r\n\r\nWith your donation, our class was able to purchase 3 wiggle seat stools. These have been an incredible help with flexibility and focus throughout the school day. Students love these seats so much that we have had to create a schedule so everyone can enjoy using them. Our hope is to be able to purchase a few more of these for our classroom. These stools are really sturdy and are definitely loved.\r\n\r\nOur classroom also received some soft. cushion seats to use within the classroom. They have really enjoyed having these cushions as an option for sitting on. We do have other wiggle seats to sit on, but some students prefer not to have so much air or sensory feelings. It is a great feeling to see students independently try and pick out seating that will help them focus throughout the day.\r\n\r\nOur class was also able to purchase a cushion cart holder to help stack and organize wiggle seats that students use throughout the day. This has helped free up some additional bookshelf space in our room and created a designated space for our wiggle seats. It is also nice to see students take responsibility and put their items away properly.","fullyFundedDate":1757627010651,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9650623/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O'Roark","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7633418_orig.png?crop=489,489,x10,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1604502644489","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7633418"},{"teacherId":7632658,"projectId":9564314,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting Small Rewards, Big Motivation! During our recent reading challenge, students worked harder and took more risks, like volunteering to read aloud, because they knew their effort would be recognized.\r\n\r\nWe are now using the rewards daily to celebrate academic growth, teamwork, and effort. Instead of working on paper, my students can now jot down, erase, and revise their ideas instantly, fostering a more dynamic and collaborative learning environment. This has created a safe space for them to explore their creativity, where they can solve problems and adjust their thinking with ease. It's made the classroom feel more flexible and interactive, and the students are loving the freedom to experiment and learn from their mistakes.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students are now using the dry erase boards for group projects where they're building interactive timelines of historical events. By collaborating on these boards, they can work together to organize information, make connections, and quickly adjust their work. This ongoing project is giving them a deeper understanding of how history unfolded, and the dry erase boards have made this process more engaging and efficient. The next steps will involve presenting their timelines to the class, and I know the students will be even more excited to share their work now that they have a way to visually demonstrate their thinking. Your generosity is truly helping my students become more confident, creative, and active learners, and I can't thank you enough for that!","fullyFundedDate":1732632583511,"projectUrl":"project/marking-our-ideas-a-dry-erase-initiativ/8813240/","projectTitle":"Marking Our Ideas: A Dry Erase Initiative","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Su","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7632658_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1636053986650","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/suneedsnackforherstudents"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_107485","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":821,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":9,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.7,"schoolId":107485,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Black Ridge Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Black Ridge Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/alpine-school-district/blackridge-elementary-school/107485"}
