My students were excited to see our class library grow with books that are popular. My students have been loving the books, as some of them are books they have never read before. I have had students found a love for reading with these books. Our class library is getting full and my students have so many more options to pick from. My students love being able to make a comfortable spot to do their choice board during interventions with the pillow cushions in this as well. \r\n \r\nAs a first year teacher these donations go a long ways as getting a classroom ready for students can add up very quickly. I am so thankful for your support to help get my class library ready and to be used for many years. These books and seating has helped and will continue to help students become more engaged with reading. Reading is an important foundational skill, and I am thankful to have received the funds to help students grow those skills.","fullyFundedDate":1755985925824,"projectUrl":"project/class-library/9632426/","projectTitle":"Class Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blair","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10200894"},{"teacherId":2541236,"projectId":9195497,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donation. The maps have been so helpful this year. Mystery State is one of my students' favorite activities! In fifth grade, my students need to learn the fifty states and the six territories/district. When we play Mystery State, one student leads the activity with my iPad, while the other students all have one of these maps at their desk. They ask the lead student yes and no geographical questions to determine what the mystery state is. Having these maps allow the students to keep track on their own. It also helps them learn the location of the states too. At the end of the year, the students will be taking a test where they have to fill in a blank map of the United States. They don't realize it, but by playing Mystery State, they are preparing themselves for this test, all while having fun.\r\n\r\nThe dual screen has been so helpful for me when I have to do grades, prepare progress reports or look at multiple screens. Thanks to you, our students now have a variety of exciting behavior incentives—snacks, plushies, stickers, small toys, and certificates—that are making a big difference in their learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces absolutely lit up! They were beyond excited and immediately started asking thoughtful questions like, \"How can I earn a sticker today?\" and \"What do I need to do to get one of those cool plushies?\" It was clear from the very beginning that these incentives would inspire them to focus and make positive choices.\r\n\r\nSince implementing these resources, we've seen a noticeable shift in our classroom culture. Students are more motivated to stay on task, follow directions, and encourage their peers to do the same. One special moment was when a student who normally struggles to stay engaged proudly earned a small toy for completing a challenging assignment and staying focused the entire lesson. The joy and pride on their face reminded us of how powerful positive reinforcement can be.\r\n\r\nThese incentives have also helped us reduce disruptions and create a more supportive, encouraging environment. The students now see our classroom expectations as something exciting to meet, rather than just a list of rules.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to tie these incentives to our social-emotional learning goals, using them to promote kindness, teamwork, and perseverance. Our next step is to build on this success by helping students set their own behavior and learning goals, and we will continue celebrating their progress along the way.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us build a classroom where students feel valued, motivated, and excited to learn!","fullyFundedDate":1734365744861,"projectUrl":"project/positive-pathways/8675011/","projectTitle":"Positive Pathways","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Christensen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7869556_orig.jpg?crop=2945,2945,x0,y49&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751235871020","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7869556"},{"teacherId":7730864,"projectId":9016537,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my classroom prize box! My students were thrilled to receive the new frisbees, and they have been a wonderful addition to our PE class. The quality of the frisbees is exceptional; their flight is true and far, which is helping my students develop their throwing accuracy. The bright colors have also contributed to the fun atmosphere that I try to create in our class. The best part is the soft texture of the frisbees, which has given the students the confidence to catch them without any fear of injury. \r\n\r\nYour generous contribution also enabled us to purchase four large volleyball trainer balls, which I am very excited to incorporate into our curriculum.
