Because of your generosity, my students now have access to resources that are already transforming their learning experience in meaningful and exciting ways.\r\n\r\nAs soon as the materials arrived, my students were ecstatic. Their faces lit up instantly, and they crowded around the boxes like it was a holiday morning. One student said, \"We've never had anything like this before!\" That moment alone reminded me why your support matters so much.\r\n\r\nWe have already begun using the new resources in our lessons. For example, during a recent class activity, my students worked in small groups using the materials to complete a hands-on project. The level of engagement was incredible. Students who rarely speak up were leaning in, asking questions, and taking the lead in their groups. The resources helped us turn a routine lesson into an interactive, collaborative, and unforgettable experience.\r\n\r\nYour contribution not only enriched our classroom but also energized my students, boosted their confidence, and gave them tools to take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're excited to dive deeper into our current unit. The materials will continue to support upcoming projects, peer-learning activities, and creative assignments that allow students to explore ideas in new ways. Thanks to you, they now have everything they need to keep growing, questioning, and discovering.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and investing in their success. I bought a class set of white boards last year, and kids loved it so much. They do all their math work there because it allows them more space than paper and is easily erasable. At the time, the goal was for the student to use the device to complete assignments, conduct research, and strengthen literacy and writing skills with greater independence and motivation. The iPad's accessibility features were also designed to support focus, organization, and communication with teachers.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited about how intuitive and dynamic the technology felt compared to traditional materials. The iPad opened doors for creative exploration—through educational apps, multimedia projects, and digital collaboration—that made learning feel more modern and connected.\r\n\r\nAlthough I no longer work at the school and cannot speak to the ongoing impact firsthand, I remain confident that this resource continues to enhance the students' academic experiences and inspire curiosity and confidence in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1747292827898,"projectUrl":"project/english-i-staar/9210634/","projectTitle":"English I STAAR","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Muhammad","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9979759_orig.png?crop=640,640,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742926073751","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9979759"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_94816","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1036,"numTeachers":64,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":56.3,"schoolId":94816,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Yes Preparatory Southwest Secondary on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Yes Preparatory Southwest Secondary","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/yes-prep-southwest/94816"}
