I am starting my classroom library from scratch and need your help! My students are learning English and I would love for them to have a place to check out books as we learn reading strategies in class. My students need a diverse classroom library! I remember being so excited about a book as a student that I wanted to share it with all of my friends. By helping provide books and a laptop for my classroom library, you will be helping students create that long lasting love of books that they will share and cherish forever. I will be able to teach them how to be powerful readers, and then guide them through books that will help continue the skills they have learned. After teaching for 10 years, I know that books often get lost in the shuffle by the end of the school year. In order to facilitate a Classroom Check Out System, I will need to have a laptop capable of downloading programs and our school does not provide teacher laptops.
