The Neon Connect & Store book bins are now used daily to organize our classroom library. Students can easily find and return books on their own, which has increased independence and reduced time spent searching for materials. The portable plastic storage caddies are used at student tables to hold pencils, markers, and supplies, helping students stay focused and prepared during lessons.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited to see new books added to our library. The Bad Guys and Cat Kid Comic Club box sets quickly became student favorites, and several students who were previously reluctant readers now choose to read during independent time. The Pigeon Has Feelings, Too! has been used during read-alouds and social-emotional learning discussions to help students talk about emotions and self-regulation in a developmentally appropriate way.\r\n\r\nThe new classroom supplies have also made a big difference. Students use the dry-erase markers daily for math practice, small-group instruction, and quick checks for understanding. Having an ample supply of pre-sharpened pencils ensures that students are always ready to work and minimizes instructional interruptions. Laminating sheets have allowed me to create reusable learning materials that support daily practice and small-group intervention.\r\n\r\nFinally, the sanitizing wipes and tissues help maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment, especially during cold and flu season. Students now take responsibility for cleaning their workspace and caring for shared materials.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, students have access to the tools, books, and structure they need to learn confidently and independently every day. Thank you for investing in our classroom and our students.","fullyFundedDate":1761931066581,"projectUrl":"project/comfy-circle-time-for-growing-minds/9455685/","projectTitle":"Comfy Circle Time for Growing Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10053040"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_101706","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":187,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":85.7,"schoolId":101706,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Golden Rule Charter School - Sunnyside on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Golden Rule Charter School - Sunnyside","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/golden-rule-elementary-school-cockrell-hill/101706"}
