As a early education teacher, I know how playing and socializing are of the most importance for younger kids, they are learning how to succeed and thrive in their new environment. Students need space to grow, and tools to explore. In these post pandemic times, we are struggling to find the balance between giving students a safe space to socialize, and targeting those developmental gaps our little ones are facing. This project includes some items like the storage sacks for the students' chairs to help optimize the space of the classroom, and I also selected some cushions and balance ball seats to provide more flexible seating for students, but specially for those who are having more difficulties to adjust to the current setting. Other items such as magnetic letter tiles, magnetic sight words, Spanish words, were selected to offer more opportunities to explore and work on their literacy skills while also working on their fine motor skills.
