Writing is very important and powerful tool used everyday life. On a daily basis students are provided time to practice writing and phonics skills. Currently, resources are limited to paper, pencils, and crayons. Students can choose an area to sit during independent practice such as under table, at a table, or a spot on the floor. I would love to differentiate the center to help all of my students become confident writers. By implementing a writing and phonemic awareness center, my students will begin to see themselves as true writers. An engaging organized center with flexible seating full of resources such as paper, fun colored pens, pencils, markers, and manipulatives like magnetic letters and sentence starters. The paper, colored markers, pens, pencils, and magnetic resources will be used to provide students with a variety of writing tools. This helps keep students engaged during independent work and place to practice daily skills we learn in our phonics and writing block. Students often sit at their table, under table, or on the floor with a clipboard. In order to help students be more comfortable flexible seating with lap desk will be an additional choice to use. We would use the organizer to keep our materials, paper, and other resources organized. I would love to create an inviting space where curiosity and imagination are limitless. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. We thank you in advance.
