When ANYONE has something they are working toward, it makes completing the task so much easier. \r\nThe incentives purchased are used to motivate students to do their best and work harder. Everyone has a class job, and their \"payment\" as they do these jobs well is to pull from the \"treasure closet\". Additionally, they know I give from it when I see they are doing a random act of kindness or when meeting Teacher expectations for the classroom environment. This helps them build character for the future, knowing that you may not always get rewarded for doing the right thing, but at times, you do receive a blessing. Sometimes when the kids are having a bad day, I give them something to cheer them up. This helps build report for them, having someone they can count on in times of need. \r\nWhile there are many items the students can pull from, the top two I'm constantly asked about are the stickers and the squishies. Many students have reported how the stickers are their favorite because it makes them feel like they won a medal for doing good work. I have placed the tactile stickers on each student desk so they have something to help them concentrate while sitting in the seat and doing an assignment. It's not always easy for them to pay attention, but having those stickers on the desks really does help break their focus when they feel antsy. The little squishy animals are like little mini stress relievers for them as they sit and do their work, and to simply have them on the desk is like a little companion for them. \r\nThe color materials and the tissues were perhaps the biggest necessity because although we are able to get these supplies through the school, we are still limited. During cold and flu season, we all appreciate having a tissue. But to know their teacher gets the nice soft tissue for their little noses is a small gesture that means so much to the kids. My class specifically is focused on social emotional learning so we do a lot of mindful coloring (both in our notebooks for assignments and when we are finished with our work for the day). As we move further in to the year, we have gratitude and personality projects planned that these materials will serve well for all of my students. \r\nI would not have been able to provide all of the incentives for them on my own. Knowing that I have a place to ask for these items as an educator is a huge blessing for me personally, because it means that I can really make an impact on our future. Thank you to ALL of our Donors for caring so deeply about our kids educational experience. It takes a village to raise one child, but a community of donors helps make giving them a better upbringing possible.","fullyFundedDate":1758656471336,"projectUrl":"project/we-work-harder-for-incentives/9665158/","projectTitle":"We work harder for incentives!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Abarca","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5133894_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1517021519499","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/abarca18"},{"teacherId":3214417,"projectId":9276094,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation, giving my students the opportunity for hands on experience in music production using the Arturia minilab 3 and M-Audio solo interfaces. By establishing an E-sport club, students are provided with a platform that promotes teamwork and collaboration, essential skills that can be developed through gaming. These games encourage strategic thinking and problem-solving, which are not only vital in the gaming world but also transferable to academic settings and future career paths. Additionally, the E-sport club creates an inclusive environment, allowing participation from students with all abilities. This inclusivity fosters connections among peers, enabling students to form friendships and support networks that enhance overall school morale. The prospect of joining the club can serve as a motivating factor for students, driving them to improve their academic performance and boosting their self-esteem and confidence. Our academic and behavioral requirements are motivational factors to succeed in both the classroom and the virtual arena. \r\n\r\nFurthermore, the establishment of an E-sport club opens up exciting opportunities for competition, allowing students to represent their school against other institutions. We are working to achieve this next step for the following school year. This competitive aspect can promotes school spirit and pride, while also instilling a sense of achievement and recognition among participants. The club will also encourage parental and community involvement through events, tournaments, and showcases, strengthening the bond between the school and its broader community. Moreover, receiving the Nintendo Switches grants students access to technology they may not have at home, enhancing their digital literacy and preparing them for technology-driven environments in the future. In summary, the introduction of gaming resources not only enriches the students' educational experience but also fosters personal and academic growth, creating a vibrant school community through the E-sport club.","fullyFundedDate":1735769073473,"projectUrl":"project/next-level-gamers-our-e-sport-journey/9013460/","projectTitle":"Next Level Gamers: Our E-Sport Journey","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Valadez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrvaladez"},{"teacherId":3214417,"projectId":9104160,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding our classroom library!
