My classroom population may consist of students with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, however they all share the strength to progress. Many members of our community were impacted by Hurricane Harvey, but the storm did not destroy our ability to move forward. My students benefit from flexible instructional activities and materials. A laptop would allow me to more efficiently design and administer a lecture in order to meet the needs of all students. This instructional resource can significantly impact student learning by diversifying the method in which each lecture is delivered. A laptop gives students the opportunity to learn from presentations that are adapted to a student's language, learning style and cognitive level. It also allows students to explore, create and express their own presentations. A laptop gives the classroom a range of opportunities to access, use and engage learning material.
