Each day, my students come in eager to pick out a fidget item to help them get through the day. I have seen how, when my students begin to get overwhelmed, they are learning to use these fidget items to help them calm down. \r\n\r\nBy far, the item that they love the most is the kinetic sand. While I do not put this out often, when I do, I see the joy that their faces show. This sand will meet their sensory needs, but it has also been a big help in teaching them the alphabet. \r\n\r\nThey also love the Spot books and plushies. The stories are a wonderful way to get them to learn about their emotions, and they love matching the plushie to the correct emotion. \r\n\r\nEverything has been well-loved and well-used.
