More importantly, they discovered the importance of giving back to their community and helping individuals feel valued, appreciated, and remembered.\r\n\r\nThis project extended learning beyond the classroom by allowing students to put civic responsibility and good citizenship into action. My scholars strengthened their leadership, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills while developing a deeper understanding of the needs of others. They also experienced the joy and personal satisfaction that come from serving others without expecting anything in return.
