The pencil sharpener holder gave provided me a place to store pre-sharpened pencils to disperse without interrupting the flow of the class by constantly sharpening broken pencils. The animal erasers are a hit too. Unlike regular square erasers, the students were really excited to get the animal erasers and they also keep up with them longer than the others. People may not understand the affect of such small and meaningless materials, but these small materials actually help to improve the learning environment by cutting down on wasted time. The other items were beneficial as well. For many students the items became a way of trying to improve their behavior and grades in order to get an item.
