Because of you, my students now have tools that truly support their learning every single day.\r\n\r\nWe use our new classroom rug daily during morning meetings, read-alouds, and math talks. It has created a welcoming space where students feel comfortable gathering, listening, and sharing their thinking. It is also their favorite space for free-time and indoor recess. \r\n\r\nThe whiteboards with decoding boxes have been especially meaningful for my struggling readers. During small-group reading, students use the boxes to break words apart, sound them out, and blend them together with confidence.\r\nThe magnetic math manipulatives have made a huge difference in math lessons, especially when teaching addition and subtraction with regrouping. Being able to physically move and see the numbers has helped my students understand concepts that once felt confusing. I've watched so many \"aha!\" moments happen as students finally made sense of regrouping in a visual and hands-on way.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They couldn't wait to use them, and they immediately felt special knowing that someone cared enough to help their classroom learn and grow. \r\n\r\n We will continue using these resources as we build stronger reading skills and tackle more complex math problems. The rug, whiteboards, and manipulatives will remain a big part of our daily lessons and will support many students for years to come.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my students the tools they need to succeed, we are so grateful for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1761447590762,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-and-welcoming-space/9498239/","projectTitle":"Cozy and Welcoming Space!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Slivkova","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10092549_orig.jpg?crop=686,686,x0,y112&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761305001820","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10092549"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_6195","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":436,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":37,"percentWhite":49,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.9,"schoolId":6195,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Limestone Central Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Limestone Central Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/cherokee-county-school-district-1/limestone-central-elementary-school/6195"}
