Returning for my second year of teaching, I learned what worked and what did not work when choosing to have tables instead of desks in the classroom. The containers will be used everyday by each student, serving the same purpose as the storage compartment in a desk. In the morning, students will grab their container and place it underneath their respective chair. When materials are needed, students will have what they need in arms length. The pen pals will also assist students in storing their pencil in their own space. The donations for this project will improve our classroom organization, and promote classroom community by making easier transitions at tables. Improving organization, and classroom community at the beginning of the year will help maintain a positive learning environment for all students!
