The health and safety of my students is my #1 priority. I have made every effort to create a “germ free,” safe environment in my classroom so that my students, and their parents, can feel comfortable. To do this, I had to comply with the new school policy and remove all of my rugs and shared seating areas (like my bean bags, couches, pillows, etc). While I believe this is in the best interest of my students and helps prevent germs from spreading, I do not like the idea of my students being stuck at their desks all day long. Purchasing a comfortable floor seat for each of my students would allow them to have more flexible and comfortable seating this year, while still keeping to themselves and using their own things. These floor seats will be assigned to one student for the entire year and never shared. They will be disinfected, along with everything else in the classroom, every day, and the covers can be taken off every weekend and sent home to be washed. Please consider donating so my kids can learn comfortably! This school year is going to be a learning experience for us all, so let’s do the best we can to make it a positive one!
