Students were especially excited to see the Owl Diaries, Pug Diaries, and Unicorn Diaries series, along with popular titles such as Party Pooper, The Wild Robot, and books from the Puppy Place series. These new selections have helped create excitement around reading and encouraged students to explore books they may not have otherwise chosen.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic bookmarks, stickers, and lip balm were also exciting additions to our prize cart and have been used as incentives through our Accelerated Reader program. Students were thrilled to see that their reading accomplishments could earn fun, new rewards, which helped build motivation and enthusiasm for reaching their reading goals. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a blank page or unsure of where to begin, they have tools and examples to guide them through brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing. These resources have helped make writing more manageable while still allowing students to be creative and develop their own unique voices.\r\n\r\nMy students have already worked on personal narratives and travel articles, and the resources from this project will continue to support them as they explore realistic fiction, poetry, persuasive writing, and more.
