A new backpack or gym bag is more than something to carry schoolwork or gym clothes. For a student, it can create a sense of pride and belonging. Having new supplies can also help students walk into the classroom feeling ready to participate rather than worrying about what they may be missing.\r\n\r\nThe supplies from this project are being used throughout the school year. Notebooks, folders, pencils, paper, pens, and other materials are part of students' everyday learning. Backpacks and gym bags help students organize and transport their belongings, while cold weather items help students stay comfortable during arrival, dismissal, recess, and bus rides.\r\n\r\nThe impact goes beyond providing supplies. Many of our students come from families experiencing financial hardship, and the cost of preparing children for school can add significant stress.
